Visitor Updates
Updates to our visitor rules: One visitor is allowed for in-patients. No visitors will be allowed for ER patients. However, exceptions may include pediatric patients and those patients requiring end of life care. Please check with the nurses' station for any updates.
Finally, the Webster County Clinic is asking everyone to call ahead to make an appointment and please do not bring additional family members to the appointment unless it is necessary. Thank you for your understanding and patience.
With warmer weather and sunny days ahead, many of us are starting to work in our yards. Some of us are trimming back roses to stimulate them to grow and others are starting to get the fields ready for planting season. Spring is also a great time for taking good care of our own health. With it being so dry and windy, allergy season is already causing lots of sniffles, runny noses, congestion, and itchy eyes. Now is the time to make an appointment with your local medical provider so that you can address your allergies and have an annual wellness examination.
Everyone should see their medical provider annually for a wellness exam so that preventative health can be discussed, a complete examination can be performed, and fasting blood work can be ordered so that we can stay healthy for the entire year. Many of us have not been keeping up with our annual exams because of the COVID pandemic. Now that COVID has calmed down considerably in Nebraska, this is a great time to see your doctor to catch up on your health maintenance.
If you are 65 and older and have Medicare, did you know that you are allowed an annual Medicare Wellness Evaluation with your doctor at no cost to you? This once a year appointment gives your doctor time to discuss many health maintenance questions, discuss appropriate immunizations that you may need, discuss screening tests that you are due for, discuss good nutrition and exercise, and to make sure that you are taking appropriate medications for all of your chronic medical conditions. If you have Medicare and have not taken advantage of this excellent wellness opportunity, make sure to call your medical provider's office to be scheduled now!
For everyone, have a safe Spring and make sure to call and schedule a wellness examination and checkup, today! Your local medical providers at the Webster County Clinic are available Monday - Friday for all of your wellness needs!!
